Ariane Spanier was born in Weimar, Germany. She studied visual communication at the Art Academy Berlin-Weißensee. After interning at Sagmeister Inc. in New York in 2004, she opened her own design studio in Berlin in 2005.
The studio’s focus lies on the design of all types of printed matter as books, catalogues, posters, but also branding, animation and illustration. Since 2006 she has been the creative director of Fukt, an annual magazine for contemporary drawing. She is also a member of AGI, Alliance Graphique Internationale since 2013. Currently, the designer lives and works in Berlin.
Ariane Spanier is at ESAD for the lecture Success, Failure, And Why I Do The Things I Do and for a 3 day workshop with the students of the MA in Communication Design.
