Ana Raposo

Ana Raposo is a communication designer, lecturer and researcher. She completed her degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto in 2003 and her PhD entitled 30 years of agitprop: The representation of 'extreme' politics in punk and post-punk music graphics in the United Kingdom from 1978 to 2008 at Central Saint Martins, London, in 2013.

Her publications include chapters in Where Have All the Bootboys Gone? (London College of Communication, 2013), The Aesthetic of Our Anger (Minor Compositions, 2016) and Tomorrow Belongs to Us (Routledge, 2017). She has participated in group photography exhibitions in Lisbon, Portugal (2020); Sofia, Bulgaria (2020); Edinburgh, UK (2021); Chicago, USA (2022); London, UK (2023). She is the director of the Communication Design branch and a lecturer on the Masters in Communication Design at ESAD and a member of esad—idea, of the editorial board of Punk & Post-Punk and the Punk Scholars Network.
