You can apply to the General Procedure for Admission to Higher Education if you have completed the 12th grade and hold a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, and one or two of the national exams, with a grade equal to or higher than 95 points (scale 0 to 200 points):

Note: Students covered by the International Student Statute, according to Decree-Law no. 62/2018 of August 6, which amends and republishes the international student statute published by Decree-Law no. 36/2014 of March 10 and amended by Decree-Law no. 113/2014 of July 16, cannot apply through the General Admission Procedure.

Documents

The application is made [online] and the following is required:

  • Identification document (for legal purposes)
  • ENES form 2026
  • Certificate of Qualifications 

Students who wish to use national high school exams taken in previous years that correspond to the entrance exams required for the application must include the ENES 2026 Form in their application. This form must be requested from the secondary school where they took the national final exams.At the time of enrolment you must present the original or a certified photocopy.

At the time of enrolment, the original documents must be presented or certified copies must be submitted.

Prerequisites

  • GROUP F – Visual and Motor Ability

Medical certificate, in line with Annex VIII.1, proving visual acuity and the absence of a mental, sensory or motor disability that interferes with functional capacity to the point of preventing learning by oneself or by others; to be handed in at the time of enrolment, at the ESAD office, which is an essential condition for enrolment and registration (Decree-Law no. 338/2023 of March 24).
 
The medical Certificate must be handed in at the time of enrolment.

For information on applications, admission or scholarships at ESAD, the Administrative Services team is available to assist by email or telephone, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00 (in August, morning opening is at 9:00).
