Sonya Dyakova founded Atelier Dyakova in 2014. Before starting her practice, Sonya was responsible for the re-design of Frieze magazine and the design & art direction of Frieze Masters publication. In 2011, she received a Grand Prix from the Tokyo Type Directors Club and was a member of AGI, the Alliance Graphique Internationale, from 2014 to 2022. Sonya worked with the iconic British designer Alan Fletcher at Phaidon Press. As a design director, she was responsible for the design of books ranging from contemporary art and design to culinary arts, architecture and photography.

Atelier Dyakova is a visual communication studio based in London. The atelier specialises in art direction and design for creative brands, artists, museums and galleries. The team collaborates with a wide range of clients in the cultural and commercial sectors to produce brand identities, publications, websites, packaging, spatial design, and moving graphics among others. Most recent clients include Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, Sarah Sze, and Judd Foundation.

On 17th April, at 5pm, she presents the conference Sonya Dyakova – A Journey of Errors in the ESAD auditorium.

The ESAD Open Talks are part of the programme of lectures and intensive workshops of the Master's in Communication Design.
