Andrew Haslam is an educator, author and designer. He is currently Associate Head of School, Graphic Design at Kingston University, UK, having previously been Programme Leader for undergraduate and postgraduate Graphic Design and Illustration at the University of Brighton, Course Director of the MA in Communication Design at Central Saint Martins, and Head of Undergraduate Typography at the London College of Printing. His books include Book Design (Laurence King Publishing, 2006), Lettering: A Reference Manual of Techniques (Laurence King Publishing, 2011), and co-authored with Phil Baines, Type and Typography (Laurence King Publishing, 2005), Since 1987 he has run his studio in London creating science, history and geography books for children.
Following the lecture Eternal Alphabets, Andrew will be running a typographic workshop for students of the MA in Communication Design 2014/2015, coordinated by Andrew Howard.
