ESAD lecturer and researcher Helena Sofia Silva is now a member of the Porto Municipal Council for Culture. She was invited in an individual capacity, as one of 50 figures from the city’s cultural scene.
The Council brings together Porto City Council and the people who make culture happen in Porto to shape the city’s cultural policies together. It follows the City Council’s work in this area and puts forward ideas and proposals on topics such as access to culture, support for independent creation and the promotion of heritage.
In total, it has 100 members: 50 cultural, artistic, scientific and educational institutions, and 50 people invited for their work across different areas of culture.
