Nina paim

Nina Paim presents a conference and runs a workshop, as part of ESAD Open Talks.

Nina Paim (BR) is a designer, editor and curator. With a directing background, she has collaborated on several exhibitions, workshops and events, including the experimental Escola Aberta (2012), in Rio de Janeiro; Taking a Line for a Walk (2014), at the Brno Design Biennale; and Department of Non-Binaries (2018), at the Fikra Design Biennale. Currently based in Porto, Nina coordinated the Swiss Design Network's Beyond Change programme in 2018 and co-edited the Design Struggles book in 2021. Throughout her professional career, she has been awarded the Swiss Design Prize three times. She is also co-founder of the feminist platform for design policy Futuress.

The conference is free of charge and takes place on 1 February at 17:00 in the auditorium of ESAD. The workshop, aimed at first year students of the Master in Communication Design, takes place on the 2nd and 3rd of February.
