As part of the second edition of PiCoDe - International Collective Design Project, ESAD selected six students to represent the institution in an international design workshop.
ESAD students Catarina Miranda, Gabriela Fragueiro, Guilherme Simões, Isabella Andrade, Ivan Garcia and Julie Clercq were the selected students, among other international students.
The workshop, this year under the motto Art + Design, takes place at ESAD from 15 to 27 May, coordinated by Professors Jeremy Aston and Marta Varzim, and follows the Collective Method, a new form of teaching and learning based on collective experience in multidisciplinary teams, with an international team. This form of training aims to prepare students for the international job market in interdisciplinary creative areas, through collaboration with other creative thinkers from different disciplines. In this second edition, the workshop also counts with the participation of two Portuguese companies: Amorim Top Series and Churchill's.
The projects resulting from the workshop will be shown in a public exhibition at the ESAD Gallery, on 27 May.
This is the second in a series of three PiCoDe workshops. The first workshop took place at the University of Lodz (Poland), in 2021.
This workshop is part of a research project involving Lodz University of Technology (Poland), ESAD (Portugal), Eskisehir Osmangazi University (Turkey), the College for Creative Studies (USA) and Escuela Superior de Diseño de La Rioja (Spain), with the support of the ERASMUS+ programme. Students who complete the workshop will receive an international certificate from ESAD and the ERASMUS+ programme.
