Three students from the Degree in Fashion Design from ESAD were the top three awarded at the Contest Novos Criadores PFN, regarding the 2nd semester of 2016, taking place at December 8, at Maus Hábitos, in Porto.

Andreia Santiago conquered the first place, Mariana Campinho the second and Francisca Sottomayor the third. Besides a monetary award, Andreia Santiago will present a collection at the edition in September 2017 at Bloom from Portugal Fashion. Winners will also receive the right to display their collections at the Fórum de Novos Talentos for the next edition of Modtissimo/Porto Fashion Week, February 15 and 16, 2017.

Andreia Santiago used fabrics Vilarinho, Mariana Campinho used knitwear from Joaps Malhas and Francisca Sottomayor worked with materials from Riopele.

Carolina Guimarães (reporter from journal T), the young designer Mafalda Fonseca, Noel Ferreira (A. Ferreira & Filhos), the designer Pedro Pedro and the fashion consultant Vera Deus were the members of the jury.

At the last edition of Modtissimo, at the first semester of 2016, Mariana Almeida also earned the first place.
