Paulo Seco

 

Paulo Seco graduated in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto in 1991. He specialized in Architecture and Construction — Architectural and Built Heritage at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar in 2014. He has been teaching Project II, Construction for Interiors and Project Management, Budgeting and Communication on the Design Degree program specializing in Interiors at ESAD since 2008. He has worked regularly in architecture and design since 1991 and is one of the founders of the Impare Arquitectura studio, created in 2001.

He was awarded the 1st prize in the competition for the design of the UC_Business facilities, for the extension of the building of the Civil Engineering Department, at the University of Coimbra Centre II (2019); 1st prize in the design competition for the development of two water bottles, organized by Águas do Porto, E.M. (2015, in partnership); 2nd prize in the public competition for the rehabilitation of the tropical greenhouses and space for “Ciência in situ” in the University of Coimbra Botanical Garden (2011); 1st prize; 1st prize in the National Furniture Design Competition, organized by the AIMMP, with the "Starp System" project (2010); and was selected for the IV Architecture Prize - Enor with the single-family housing project "Casa João Alegre" (2009).
