Altus Sensus is the title that gives its name to our final Undergraduate's degree project in Communication Design. The central motto of the work revolves around the duality "Lock/Unlock" and was developed from a common interest in questioning and understanding Reality as a concept, but above all what is the reality we perceive, the world we live in, confronting it with other possibilities of perceiving it: The "Reality" we have locked on ourselves and the others we could unlock.

But was is reality anyway?

In a more literal, immediate and objective sense of the word, "Reality" is everything that in a fundamentally physical and material world is accessible to us, it is the adjustment we make between the image and the idea of things. It is everything that we analyze, that we interpret, that we see, that we hear, that we perceive... what is precisely a consequence of some inherently Human biological capacities: Our five senses. Altus Sensus is a project that questions and challenges the veracity of "reality", of the way we live and we feel the world, as a consequence of Human sensory capacities that are themselves fallible and partially incapable.The project was fundamentally focused on the confrontation between the Lock/Unlock duality (the senses we have locked on ourselves VS those that we can unlock in order to perceive reality in another way), from a phase that portrays the wonders of the world we perceive and another where through a cataloging of 40 cases (30 real cases of people and 10 scientific studies), there is an exhibition of a series of new senses, mutations and sensory amplifications that prove that in fact Man can perceive a different reality, completely distorted in relation to the one we actually perceive.
