“Archiving the Unseen” starts from a simple equation – 1 = 1 – a formula we usually take for granted as a symbol of stability and equivalence. But following the philosopher Jaques Derrida’s view, there’s always something that escapes translation – a context, a feeling, a texture – something that cannot be fully captured.

“Archiving the Unseen Vol.1”  is the first in a series of ongoing publications and a platform for exploring this process. Through theoretical research, intuitive experiments, and collaborative contributions, it shows how translation is not a matter of matching one to another, but a creative transformation – a process of deconstruction. Every translation holds an ongoing deconstruction: it’s a critical analysis, an interpretation, and a transformation at the same time – a way of uncovering what normally remains hidden, making visible the gaps, the losses, and the gains that arise when we try to translate the untranslatable.

Everyone is invited to contribute their own experiments and perspectives, adding to this collective reflection on what happens when we bring the unseen into visuals.

This work was developed in the context of the KYRT project, which marks the end of the Undergraduate in Design — Communication.
