The mobility sector is one of the most complex and influential markets in the entire industry and is undergoing a phase of major development. As a result, both the technical and design aspects are undergoing major changes, i.e. they are adapting new technologies and, with this, different design techniques. Internal combustion engines are being replaced by electric motors in order to help combat polluting emissions, a fight that is becoming increasingly urgent. In addition, there is growing environmental awareness among consumers who are looking for cleaner alternatives on the market.
Due to the increase in population density in cities, they are becoming increasingly congested, and the ban on internal combustion cars in city centres is driving the development of electric and smaller vehicles. This presents a design challenge to create new vehicles that take into account electric platforms and vehicles that are better suited to today's needs.

This work reflects the development of an advanced concept for an autonomous electric microcar linked to a sharing service. As part of the Master's degree in Product Design, this internship was carried out at CEiiA, where the concept developed is based on a microcar platform, given that the environmental footprint left by cars is increasing and the space allocated to our living and well-being in cities is tending to decrease. As such, taking into account the objectives outlined for this work, they were achieved in the final proposal presented by the creation of a microcar that, with a less automotive style, contradicts the perspectives to which the user is accustomed. However, its small size and the opportunity for shared mobility between users is becoming a trend, both because of the need to preserve the environment and because of their busy lifestyles.
