This proposal was developed as part of the Product Design module, in partnership with SANINDUSA, challenging students to devise a new concept for the bathroom. The exercise involved developing three products — a washbasin, a toilet and a shower tray or bath — balancing functional, technological, ergonomic and emotional requirements, in line with the specific characteristics of the industrial context.
ΛΕΜΟΝΙ explores the Mediterranean as a sensory and everyday experience, drawing inspiration from the lemon as a symbol of freshness, vitality and simplicity. The shape of the fruit guides the design of the washbasin, toilet and shower tray, giving rise to soft, rounded and ergonomic forms, designed to offer an intuitive and comfortable user experience.
The design favours continuous, refined shapes, conveying a sense of lightness and fluidity, whilst the light, warm colours evoke the natural light of Mediterranean landscapes. By celebrating everyday gestures and the ritual of use, ΛΕΜΟΝΙ transforms the bathroom into a space of wellbeing and balance, where design, nature and functionality come together to create a contemporary and harmonious experience.
