This proposal addresses the final-year project brief for the Undergraduate degree, which is to design a catering space in the Central Pavilion of the Casa da Arquitetura.

"O Ensaio" is a vegetarian restaurant and natural wine bar that reimagines the dining experience as an immersive narrative. Designed for the Central Pavilion of the Casa da Arquitetura, the project moves beyond the conventional function of a restaurant, presenting dining as a multisensory performance.

The experience begins with an exhibition area dedicated to low-intervention wines, where backlit onyx stone introduces the theatrical atmosphere that defines the space. At the heart of the restaurant, the tasting counter, suspended linen fabrics and integrated lighting establish a material language that reinforces both intimacy and scenography.

The spatial narrative culminates at the table, where the dining experience unfolds in three acts — Prologue, Main Act and Epilogue. Dishes are finished in front of each guest using independent service trolleys, transforming every meal into a performative experience in which space, gastronomy and staging become inseparable.
