“Touch Grass” was the final project for the Undergraduate in Design — Communication, developed as part of the KYRT project, whose theme this year was Border. Based on the popular expression that calls for a return to reality, the project explores epistemic bubbles as frontiers of knowledge. Through a critical approach, ‘Touch Grass’ proposes a reflection on the cognitive limits that shape the way we access information and perceive the world. Based on the idea that these bubbles are inevitable but not uncontrollable, the project challenges the public to become aware of their existence, proposing critical thinking as an essential tool for broadening perspectives and questioning assumptions.

The bubble is interpreted as a machine that filters, isolates and shapes perception, serving as a visual and conceptual metaphor that runs through the entire materialisation of the project. The resulting exhibition combines objects, formats and provocative graphic stimuli in a journey that confronts the visitor with multiple realities. By interconnecting intimacy, identity and perception, ‘Touch Grass’ does not offer definitive answers, but rather questions that instigate reflection. At a time when knowledge is power, the project affirms the urgency of being attentive and aware, not to escape bubbles, but to inhabit them with a critical spirit and autonomy.
