This project was developed with the aim of integrating the principle of energy into the development of a functional and creative product. The proposal resulted in the design of trainers with integrated LEDs, designed for urban, sports and outdoor use.
The development phase was particularly marked by an experimental approach to the design and structure of the product, where each element was designed with a specific function in mind. From the contours inspired by medieval armour that increase flexibility, to the breathable technical mesh, ventilation systems and customisable LEDs, all decisions were based on the user experience. The sole, with functional cuts for water drainage and greater mobility, reinforces the connection between form and utility. This process proved to be demanding but rewarding, allowing for the construction of a coherent and innovative proposal, focused on movement, comfort and personal expression through technology.
This project was developed as part of the Synthesis Project course, corresponding to the Final Project in Undergraduate in Product Design. The proposal consisted of developing a product based on the theme of energy, with students able to choose between three sub-themes: well-being, fun or safety.
