Martin is full professor in Industrial and Material Design at the School of Textiles & Design of Reutlingen University in Germany since 2015. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Polytechnic University of Milan and a PhD in Sustainable Energy and Technologies from the Free University of Bolzano, in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich. Prior to his appointment at Reutlingen University, Martin was Assistant Professor in Technologies and Production Systems for Product Design at the Faculty of Design and Art of the Free University of Bolzano and worked as professional designer in Europe, Middle East, and Asia in the fields of industrial and transportation design.
Boris is a professional automotive designer working in the car industry for more than 20 years, and currently working as a freelancer with companies and institutes all over the world. Formally employed by Fioravant in Italy, Boris was the team leader and has been involved in many car design projects in Europe, China, India and America, including a special edition Ferrari (one-off) based on the F430 2008. Boris has a Diploma in Car Model Design from the European Centre for Industrial Modellers in 2000 and since then has worked for Italdesign Giugiaro, BAIC Motor and Haima Automobile in China. He won first prize for the European contest Stile Italiano 2000 by ANFIA Turin. Recently involved in academic workshops at several design schools around the world, including ESAD (Portugal), Aubum University (United States), Vallauri, Institute for Industry and Crafts (Italy) and the College of Art and Design (Czech Republic).
Rui born in 1977, comes from a family of skilled craftsmen. His father and grandfather were cabinet makers and since his childhood he lives surrounded by tools and materials. Rui studied Industrial Design, graduating in 2001. In the same year, he opened his design office based in his hometown to undertake projects ranging from furniture to product design. Always paying attention to details – almost obsessively – he works intensively to explore materials and processes. Rui has a simple and practical design approach to achieve innovative and strong personality products. His work have been recognised and selected to be part in exhibitions around the world.
