The winners of the 2026 Coelho dos Santos Prize, organised annually to recognise and support emerging talent, have now been announced.

Each student receives a Creative Talent Scholarship covering the full cost of tuition fees for one academic year, enabling them to pursue their academic journey, explore new possibilities and put their talent into practice.

A name linked to the history of ESAD

The award pays tribute to José Coelho dos Santos (1943–1997), a lecturer in Art History at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and one of the co-founders of ESAD.

Since 2020, by awarding these grants annually, ESAD has kept his name linked to the school’s future and to new generations of students.

 

Congratulations to the award-winning students. This is just the beginning.

More than simply recognising the work already done, the Coelho dos Santos Prize seeks to create space for what each student can still explore, develop and bring to fruition.
