Summer course
Laboratories of the Imaginary
Come and imagine, experiment and create
The Laboratories of the Imaginary is a week dedicated to imagining, experimenting and creating. Through design and digital arts, participants explore new ideas, test possibilities and bring their own projects to life.
Inspired by the Design Thinking methodology, the course encourages spatial planning, observation, brainstorming, prototyping, experimentation and the presentation of ideas.
Through active and participatory methods, participants learn by doing, exploring different materials and techniques, working in teams and developing creative and critical thinking, as well as problem-solving skills. The Photography, Sound, Video, Fashion, Screen Printing, Typography, and Technologies and Materials workshops become spaces for experimentation and discovery, where children develop their own projects and bring their ideas to life.
Every day, creative challenges are set, including the creation of objects and prototypes, experimental photography, graphic narratives, upcycled fashion accessories and sensory experiences. The process values experimentation, error as a learning tool and peer feedback.
During the week, participants present the projects they have developed, transforming ESAD’s spaces into a place of creation, sharing and discovery.
