Digital Experience Design
Design digital experiences and create interactive prototypes in Figma
Learn how to design digital experiences based on users’ needs and explore research methods, information architecture and interface design in Figma. By the end of the course, you’ll have developed an interactive prototype and mastered a workflow that you can apply to your own UX/UI design projects.

What would you like to create?
Are you studying Communication Design or Multimedia and want to take your first steps in UX/UI?
Do you work in Design or UX/UI and want to develop your skills in research and interface design?
Do you want to learn how to structure digital experiences, from research and information architecture right through to prototyping in Figma?
Are you already working in the field and want to consolidate your working methods and explore new tools?
What you’ll learn to do?
Apply user-centred, qualitative and quantitative research methods, and synthesise the results into design decisions
Transform research data into personas, user journeys and problem framing
Structure information architecture, navigation and user flows before designing interfaces
Design wireframes and interfaces in Figma, using components, Auto Layout and prototyping
Apply usability and accessibility principles when designing an interactive prototype
Communicate and present a digital experience prototype in a well-reasoned manner to a group
What are you going to explore?
Fundamentals of UX and User Research: Definition of UX Design, qualitative and quantitative research methods (interviews, questionnaires, usability tests), research synthesis
Personas, User Journeys and Problem Framing: Transforming research data into decision-making tools, identifying design opportunities
Information Architecture and User Flows: organising content, navigation, task flows and structure prior to the interface
Interaction Design and Wireframing: From flow to the interface’s skeleton, principles of interaction
UI Design and Advanced Figma: Components, Auto Layout, variants, prototyping, from wireframe to final interface
Final Prototype and Presentation: Consolidating the work into an interactive prototype in Figma, applying usability and accessibility principles, and presenting the prototype to the group
Who will you be learning from
Helena Isabel Alves da Silva is from Porto and has been a designer for around 10 years, four of which have been spent in digital product design. She began her training in art and design at the age of 16 at the Soares dos Reis Art School, and graduated with a degree in Communication Design from ESAD Matosinhos in 2016.
