Blue Design Alliance

Design projects related to the water and oceans cluster.

The Blue Design Alliance, a consortium of four educational institutions led by ESAD, is a higher education programme dedicated to one of our planet's most precious resources: water.

The purpose of the Blue Design Alliance is to use the tools of design to educate and train for the development of sustainable living, enabling the implementation and transfer of innovative ideas and products to the blue environment.

Promoting institutions

The promoting institutions guarantee prospects for scholarships and merit awards, inclusive reception of students, employability and a solid capacity for intervention in the northern region.

Based on the coastal and in the interior north of Portugal, the higher education institutions that make up the Blue Design Alliance offer a wide range of training programmes related to the social, cultural, economic and sporting dimensions of water and the oceans through design.

Training programme

A Design Thinking methodology

The courses taught at ESAD allow the content to be reformulated taking into account your curiosity and ambition, as well as the needs of the labour market. The result is practical lessons aimed at solving concrete problems in an experimental and collaborative environment.

Scholarships

Blue Design Alliance

This initiative offers scholarships for Professional Higher Technical Courses (CTesP), taught at ESAD, and Postgraduate Courses. All the courses are practically orientated and allow you to pursue a professional career, where the theme of water will always be present, as well as caring for the ecosystems of rivers, seas and oceans.
