Between Water and Land
The Photography of Siza Vieira's Architecture
This course investigates, through photography, the atmosphere of two of the most important icons of portuguese architecture, Casa de Chá and Piscinas das Marés by Álvaro Siza Vieira. The photography will explore the relationship between interior/exterior, the relationship with the sea and the surrounding landscape, materials and natural light. The course is structured in three parts: a theoretical introduction, photographic practice in the designated locations and image processing and printing.
