The course proposes the development of infographic solutions focussing on coastal biodiversity, particularly marine forests.
Infographics and Blue Ecosystems is a short course in laboratory practice in the field of Design, which explores Infographics based on Marine Biology content, providing skills for the development of graphic devices and contributing to issues involved in the conservation and regeneration of ecosystems.
Profile
Competences
- Identify the hierarchy of information content based on the statement presented.
- Designate the means and tools available for visual translation.
- Identify graphic solutions, within the visual grammar of infographics, capable of representing an ecosystem structure, its parts and interdependent relationships.
- Characterise the target audience, particularly in terms of visual literacy.
- Differentiate the communication medium(s) appropriate to the nature of scientific content.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of graphic solutions by comparing media and audiences.
- Carry out autonomous work in terms of research, analysing references and producing infographic material.
- Present and discuss with peers the results obtained in the Infographics for an Ecosystem project, by critically analysing and applying the knowledge acquired.
