Product Design
At the interface between design and engineering, Product Design allows the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for industry and society.
Stimulating and constantly updated, the area of Product Design requires the ability to design for dynamic contexts. With a pioneering teaching model, this course allows you to develop methodological skills to face industry and societal challenges. Technical and process, historical and heritage knowledge will contribute to your ability to communicate and present ideas and projects for products and services. You will be able to develop current and necessary skills in the area of Product Design and intervene in an industrial and digital environment, respecting sustainability values and acting on a local and global scale.

Objectives
- Provide a stimulating, dynamic and competitive project context.
- Address methodological principles within the scope of project development with industry or for digital environments.
- Explore different ways of representing and materializing project proposals.
- Acquire knowledge about different materials and technological execution and production processes.
- Foster an analytical, ethical and critical spirit, debating the importance of history and heritage and the challenges for the future in the social, environmental and technological dimensions.

Collaborations · Partnerships
The Product Design course develops collaborations and partnerships with national and international industries, companies and institutions.
Alongside partnerships with companies and research centers such as CEIIA, Nelo, Simoldes and Softlight, there have been many different tenders, either by invitation or by choice, both nationally and internationally, in which students have been awarded prizes: Alstom, BA Glass; Berg - Sonae, Bombay Sapphire, CMcadeiras, Electrolux, Eumel, Leica, Lexus, Gaz de France, Nokia, Salvador Caetano, Sanindusa. In addition, project partnerships with CEIIA, Nelo, Simoldes and Softlight are also worth noting.
