The Young Creators Contest Portuguese Fashion News is an initiative of Selectiva Moda. Under the motto * Manipulation *, there are 20 students representing 14 national fashion schools, with materials from 20 Portuguese textile producers. The jury, made up of 5 reputable professionals, will choose which students worked the best fabrics from national manufacturers. Each coordinate will be evaluated based on criteria of originality, technical creativity, artistic and innovation, as well as the combination and use of new materials.

ESAD hosts the 2nd edition of 2019, organizing the presentation of the Young Creators PFN Contest at Matosinhos Municipal Market, where it also presents a fashion show of Fashion Design finalists Fabiana Pereira and Marcelo Almiscarado, with the collections Post-its , a nostalgic reflection on existence, focusing on the overlaps representative of the accumulation of experiences, and Crooked, which translates asymmetries and technical materials, the physical deformations caused by a motor deficiency.
